Chris Maurice (Christian Carbonnel) is a Spanish master perfumer specialized in niche, artistic and oriental perfumes and he is today a reference in this discipline. His grandfather was a French perfumer who moved to Spain to produce essential oils and established Carbonnel factory in 1925. Now the family company is located in Barcelona and the business is in its third generation and the fourth is coming. Growing up in the environment of niche fragrances, he had the opportunity to work on key projects for the leading brands in Europe and the Middle East. He has dedicated his career to treating refined and exceptional essences, which marry perfectly with his idea of High Perfumery, winning and being nominated to many prestigious awards: The Art & Olfaction Awards 2016, 2020, 2021 and Fragrance Foundation UK Awards 2022 (Anthem) and 2023 (Meθexis).
